Rachel Hill CPA, CA, BA Firm Founder
Rachel Hill is an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant with over 25 years in the industry and holds a Bachelor of Economics with a concentration in Business. Rachel is a member in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, Canada.
Prior to founding the firm, Rachel’s work experience concentrated on Professional Medical Corporations, Review and Audit engagements for both private and Not-for-Profit companies and tax matters for CCPC(s), estates and individuals. For almost a decade she worked with medium and small Chartered Accounting firms, inspiring her to leave her mark in the professional accounting community by opening her own CPA practice.
In 2009, R N Hill Chartered Professional Accountant Group Inc. was founded as an extension of Rachel’s vision and values. The firm sets itself apart from the competition by combining Rachel’s well rounded experience and education with her human-centered approach, her strong vision, and experienced team. The firm creates tailored made strategies resulting in positive impacts on the financial well being of different businesses, owner-managers and individuals; who have put their trust in her and the firm for the past 15 years.
Over the years, by virtue of Rachel’s professional background, wealth of experience in the accounting field and with R N Hill CPA Group Inc.’s strong reputation, and her interest in contributing to the community, she has been invited to be part of prestigious British Columbia groups and organizations.
Among these, she was invited to take part in the Arbutus Club Finance Committee, a branch of the Arbutus Club Board, where she acted as a voting member. Also, RBC, along with other financial institutions, have invited Rachel to share her expertise on topics such as tax and estate planning. Rachel values these opportunities to make contributions to the financial literacy of the community through these seminars. Additionally, she is actively part of the CPA BC Medium Size business forum, which helps support keeping abreast with the ever-changing CRA rules and guidelines.
Rachel has actively participated in the education field as an educator and executive. As a case in point, Rachel worked as a facilitator through the CPA School of Business, sharing her passion for supporting and nurturing CPA professionals. In addition, Rachel contributed as an Executive of the Parent Association through the Vancouver School Board, and as Financial and Technology chair at the Crofton House School Winter Bazaar with proceeds donated to the KidSafe Project Society.
